Restaurants Romania- Casa Doina

Alma mater of “Restaurants Romania“, is an important part of the rich tapestry of the city. This classical atmosphere brings in the cream part of Bucharest society. Another nice thing is that you are served by splendid, charming waiters in smart dresses. The food is great, and in such a city where standards always rise and fall, Casa Doina is a paragon of high consistency.

In Bucharest’s leafy north part, between embassies and mansions, the classy establishment of this restaurant occupies a nice and friendly 18th-century villa that has a charming garden terrace where you can dine during summer (but what is really good is that it’s heated for winter time too); it is a loved place for any of the old school air-kissing crowds, where foreigners love making pictures while chef Doru Dobre is cooking up a delicious meal for his sophisticated guests. Starting with polenta which is topped with bacon or trying the shaved cheese, topped usually with egg and served with delicious sour cream, or choosing the in-house special version of sarmale, the cabbage leaves are stuffed with meat and served (naturally) with polenta. The menu is not extremely complicated, trying to keep happy both the unadventurous and experimental-type of guests; chicken fillet has an excellent recipe being stuffed with Roquefort and wrapped up with bacon and/or Parmesan; you get the braised ducking served with sauerkraut. When it comes to grilled duck, you can taste it in an interesting combination with cherry sauce. If you like fish, it is available always at daily market price; the swordfish is fried gently in olive oil. At the end you can try the nougat glace with maple syrup and egg custard.

These delicates can be tasted only here at “Casa Doina” and “Restaurants Romania” guarantees you will be satisfied by this menu. All the important additional information is right here on “Restaurants Romania”, you just have to pick up the phone and make a reservation.
